In 2009, the changed IRC rules ensured that the boat would be modified to be advantageous according to its rating. The lead with a purity of 99.99% and the spheroidal graphite iron of type GGG60 were cast and subsequently processed in CNC with a precision of +/- 1mm. They were manufactured and sent to Salma Cowes in England.
